We have more Champions League action for you tonight as Premier League title holders Leicester City try and get their season back on track against Europa League holders Sevilla, and Serie A giants Juve take on Porto. Over at Appbet we’ve taken a look at the betting markets to help you make an educated bet.
FC Porto v Juventus
Currently priced at 13/5 in the Match Winner market, Porto head into this Champions League tie with Juventus as total underdogs. Finishing second in their group behind Leicester, Porto would have preferred a much easier draw at this stage of the competition if they were to progress.
The home side are on a six-win streak in all domestic competitions, and their recent form has seen them take top spot in the Portuguese League with a game in hand over nearest rivals Benfica. Although they have only failed to score once at home this season, they have only kept one clean sheet all season, something we feel Juve will be looking to capitalise on.
The Serie A title holders are unbeaten in all of their previous games against Porto, and won all of the three away games in the group stages earlier this season. They have only failed to find the back of the net once on the road this season, so we think both teams to score is definitely the bet to go for.
In the goalscorer market, it looks like you should be putting your money on Gonzalo Higuain to score for Juventus priced at 5/4, and Andre Silva of Porto to potentially continue his goal scoring record at 9/4.
Sevilla v Leicester
Sevilla head into this game in very good domestic form, something that can’t be said for their opponents, who are languishing in a relegation battle and have been dumped out of the FA Cup.
This is the first time the four-time Europa League winners, and The Foxes will have met competitively, and with Sevilla having won five of their last seven home matches in all competitions, we feel it will be a hard task for Leicester to break them down.
Leicester’s domestic form is certainly nothing to write home about this season, and with them currently sitting only one point above the relegation zone, their current price of 8/1, is certainly justified, especially as they have never beaten Spanish opposition.
Having kept more clean sheets than any other team in the competition this season, and having not failed to score in any of their last 14 Champion League games, we’re going for an easy win for the Spaniards here.
